Humidifier keeps hops tip top at Timothy Taylor

Two Condair CP3 electrode boiler steam humidifiers are maintaining the humidity of the hops in Timothy Taylor Brewery’s new hops store at Keighley, UK.

Airedale Cooling Services Ltd, approached Condair's UK distributor, JS Humidifiers, as the companies had worked together previously and JS had already supplied two humidifiers for the brewery’s original hop store two years ago.

JS specified the Condair CP3 5kg/hr in-room humidifiers to satisfy the conditions for optimum hop storage of 65% relative humidity at 5oC. The duty required was 9kg/hr (i.e. 9 litres of moisture) which the combined humidifiers were well able to meet.

Derek Wintersgill, MD at Airedale Cooling, commented: “We have worked with JS Humidifiers several times and, given the success of the first installation two years ago, we knew we could rely on them to specify the ideal humidifiers for the new store. The hops are now being kept in perfect conditions. Timothy Taylor Brewery is very pleased – and so are we.”

The Condair CP3 electrode boiler steam humidifier is an economic yet dependable solution for steam humidification.

It is easy to install, simple to use and provides accurate and responsive humidity control. This makes it ideal for a wide range of applications such as offices, call centres, hospitals and production facilities.

Innovative features such as water conductivity monitoring and staged electrode use maximise the lifetime of the steam cylinder and extend the operational periods between service requirements.

When servicing is needed, the Condair CP3’s design makes it easy to drain, remove and replace the disposable steam cylinder, keeping downtime to a minimum.

Many options are available making the Condair CP3 the ideal choice for humidifying directly into a room with a fan unit or into a duct or AHU with a selection of steam distribution pipes.
